Guiding principles

Everyone has their own rules to live by... principles by which they make life decisions, big and small. Priorities. They are what keep us focused. Your priorities and principles will be an integral part of the strategic plan we develop for you and your organization.

Knowing up front the tenants by which SFN Consulting operates will help you decide if our consulting relationship is going to be a good one.

  • Ethics. Getting ahead doesn’t matter if you can’t sleep at night.

  • Transparency. You will always know just how things stand. Whether we’re on target or off, we’ll use that information to plot our next steps.

  • Work-life balance. We all have multiple priorities. I’m about doing the very best I can in each area of my life in order to achieve that elusive balance and integration.

  • Drive for results. There are so many variables to consider when making even the smallest decision. Sometimes, we become paralyzed—immobilized—because we get stuck doing the analysis and then realize we’re unable to take any action. Do something. Learn from the outcome. Adjust. Then do it better each time thereafter.

  • Good people. Surround yourself with good, positive people. They’ll energize and encourage you. Remove the toxic people from your life. They’ll do nothing but drain you of the energy you should be applying toward achieving results.
